Vault’d is local-first. Your records are stored on your device, without a Vault’d account, advertising or tracking. You choose when to export or share a file.

Are local backups encrypted by Vault’d?

No. Backup format version 1 is not encrypted by Vault’d and may contain sensitive information. Store and transfer backups carefully.

Does Vault’d legally prove ownership?

Vault’d helps organize your records. It does not verify legal ownership, value an item or carry out a legal transfer.
